Walk through Basel
Starting at Basler Münster
Spring in Basel offers a picturesque scene, perfect for a photographic walk. My journey began at the iconic Basler Münster, a stunning gothic cathedral that stands proudly in the city. The early evening light cast a warm glow on the sandstone structure, making for some breathtaking shots.
Crossing the Wettsteinbrücke
From Basler Münster, I made my way down the Wettsteinbrücke. The bridge provides an excellent vantage point to capture the serene views of the Rhine River. The golden hour light reflected off the water, creating a magical atmosphere.
Exploring Claraplatz
After crossing the bridge, I arrived at Claraplatz. The vibrant square was bustling with activity, and as the sun began to set, the golden hour transitioned into the blue hour. This shift in lighting added a unique charm to my photographs, blending the warm hues of the sunset with the cooler tones of the evening.
Mesmerizing Messe Basel
Continuing my walk, I reached Messe Basel, a renowned exhibition center. The modern architecture stood out against the darkening sky, and the blue hour provided the perfect backdrop for capturing the intricate details of the building. The contrast of light and shadow created striking images.
Ending at Badischer Bahnhof
My photographic journey concluded at the Badischer Bahnhof. As night began to fall, the station’s lights illuminated the surroundings, offering a different perspective. The calmness of the evening, combined with the gentle glow of the station lights, allowed me to take some final captivating shots, encapsulating the essence of a spring evening walk through Basel.
